Here is a fun parachute game for your consideration!
Submitted by Janet Bremer, North Canton, Ohio. Grades K-3.
The students are sitting around a parachute. One student is selected to be “Tom” (the cat) and crawls on top of the parachute. He is attempting to tag “Jerry” (the mouse) who is under the parachute. The remaining class members must help Jerry stay hidden by waving the parachute up and down very high as they remain sitting.
When Jerry is finally caught, those two players are replaced with new ones. Continue until all of the students have had one turn and then reverse the roles.
Add some fun by adding some music, such as the theme from “Cats” or “The Pink Panther.”
