Jane Briggs from Falls Church, Virginia submitted this good idea for grades K-8.
Enclosed is a photo of a bulletin board I have on display at my school. I borrowed this idea from Holiday Games and Activities by Barbara Wnek (Human Kinetics).
Thanks, Sister Janet!
I used Sister Janet, our willing principal, as my model. The kids and the parents love it! The best part is that the children have learned about many muscles in their bodies.
Once a week, I introduce a new muscle and discuss exercises that could improve that muscle. We have a muscle chart to show students exactly where the muscle is located.
This has been an educational project using a little humor. My students from kindergarten through 8th grade have benefitted from this bulletin board. Special thanks go to Sister Janet for being such a good sport to enhance our students’ knowledge.
