Here’s a K-8 classroom management idea.

Here is an idea that I use as a positive way to reward our K-8 students.
At the end of each class, I reward deserving students with a ticket (the kind you can buy on a roll at any stationary supply store). The tickets are given to students for any of the following: good behavior, good effort, good sportsmanship, self improvement, excellent performance, or performing an act of kindness.
When a student has collected three tickets, he/she can turn the tickets in for a “reward.” For example, the rewards for grades 1-4 is a 20-cent coupon good for any school lunch item. The reward for grades 5-8 is an exemption from the end-of-the-quarter written test.
This has proven to be very helpful in cutting down on our discipline problems. Our kids look forward to seeing who will receive a ticket!
